Textile wastes are classified as pre-consumption or post-consumption. Pre-consumption wastes consist of textile, fiber and cotton industry by-product materials that are regenerated for automotive, aerospace, home building, furniture, bedding, coarse yarn, household goods, paper, clothing and other industries. Post-consumer waste is defined as household items made from any clothing or textile materials that the consumer no longer needs and decides to throw away. These materials are discarded either because they are too old, worn out or outdated.
